Pirates of the Caribbean on Stranger Tides- review

Yesterday, I went to the cinema to see 'Pirates of the Caribbean- on stranger tides'. It was trashed by papers. "Another one" was a common phrase! But since I am myself a great Johnny Depp follower I was looking forward to this for months.

Keira Knightly and Orlando Bloom dropped out so this was a 'Jack Sparrow' movie. Penelope Cruz plays Jacks love interest. The movie itself was very good with often hints of humour. Two things I would say is too long by about twenty minutes and they tried too hard to set up a romance that was missing since Elizabeth and Will are gone. Far-fetched romance that sidetracked you from the actual story.

But if your looking for a funny track on the pirate take go and see it!!

The Royal Wedding- William and Kate- part 1

Today is the Royal wedding. At this very moment the ceremony is going on in Westminister Abbey. Diana's eldest son is marrying his true love.

Everyone has been waiting for this day since William and Kate declared their engagement. The newspapers and magazines have been speculating the dress. And now we have all seen it. She is a beautiful bride, standing just where Diana did all those years ago.

The Dress consists of lots of lace and pearls and a lovely train. She is wearing a crown that has been handed down to her and beautiful jewelery. But her most distinguishing feature is her smile. She seems so happy to marry William, so happy that they are in love. It is so sweet.

She seemed nervous going up the Aile, who wouldn't be? With so many eyes watching you how can you not be afraid of tripping or moving too fast or too slow. But she did it perfectly and she deserved to, too.

Brown Thomas- Georgia May Jagger

Today I went to Brown Thomas for fashion ideas. When entering, I heard the intercom saying something about a Georgia May Jagger promotion and I also saw a lot of posters around about it! I went over for a look when I saw Georgia being ambushed by photographers and people queueing to get there photo taken with her.

I went upstairs to look around and came back about twenty minutes later. I had planned to buy the bag but my mom asked me to take some more pictures first. I went up with the iPhone where I managed to find myself next to tons of reporters. I got my photo of her, when I heard things like ' mini Georgia ' and 'so cute'.

I was then pulled in front of a camera, my bag and my moms phone taken away and next to me was Georgia May Jagger!! The beautiful Georgia May Jagger! What could I do? I just striked a few poses and before I knew it was over. I walked out of the store with a shocked impression on my face. One of the best experiences ever! So enjoyable!

KFW- Award presentations!

On Tuesday, myself and my mom, Orla Diffily. Headed out to Adare Manor to meet with Celia Holman Lee, winner of 'Best Dressed Woman in Ireland 2011'.

She was delighted to meet us and she was very pleased with her Killarney Crystal vase and her 'Gong'! The Gong was made by myself and was a doll made to look like Celia Holman Lee. It was a great experience. She herself is a lovely woman with a great smile and great fashion sense.

On Wednesday, myself and my mom, Orla Diffily. Headed out to Carton house near Dublin. There we met with Micheal Long who won 'Designer of the year'. He was in the middle of an image shoot. I got to see all the behind the scenes and the beauty involved. He too was very pleased with his Killarney Crystal vase and the title.

I was very lucky to attend both of these presentations and I am sure everyone is happy with the results, I know I am!

My never ending opinion,

Trends, do you follow or do you rebell??

Well it has been a while since I have 'blogged'! But I go in and out of things. In February, for me, blogger wasn't 'trending' so to speak. Well it is now so lets get started.

Trending, well it means lots of things. It means what clothes are 'in', or for the guys what football player is 'all that'.
Well I am more interested in the fashion part... So now it is lace and leather. The leather shorts with a cute t-shirt, tights and pumps. Or a pretty lace dress funked up with a funky belt and knee highs.

Well what is it for you? Do you go with the trend or do you rebell??? For me, I create my own trend. I don't copy the average person. I look to fashion capitals. Maybe I start trends, so many claim to have started it that I don't keep track.
But you know if you started it and if some else claims it again. Start another one.......

After a long......

After a long relaxing Christmas and New years it is time to embrace just that New year.

I think it is time to turn off the Christmas tunes and take down the Christmas trees. We need to know that the spring is coming!

EMBRACE IT ALREADY!! EMBRACE IT! I am sick of walking into a shop with a Christmas song going full blare in the background!!

Get over it!!!!!!!! Wait until next year! Santa isn't evil but he is when he is plotting to shut you all up!!!

My opinion which is right!! ( no offence to anyone who's opinion is different)

Kerry Film Festival

Today I attended the Kerry film festivals main event.
I attended with Orla Diffily and we both thoroughly enjoyed it.

One of the main stars attending were Maureen O'Hara and Juliet Binoche.
I myself saw Juliet Binoche on "The late late show". She did not seem that into it.She did not even know what she was doing in Kerry.
Yet today she did know what she was doing and she seemed very emotional. Her speech was very touching and I really think she lived up to my expectations.
I have seen her movie, Chocolate. The sweet, emotional and caring character I loved seems to be real.

There was also more great awards given out. But shown here is my favourite.

Best Animated Short Film

Best International Short Film

Drop Dead

Best Documentry Short Film

Happy Halloween- the time is upon us

Happy Halloween!

As usual, Christmas decorations are being put up. I think it is completely ridiculous! Thats why last night I was happy to find that some people agreed with me and put on a great festive Halloween movie. Old but brilliant.

The Addams family.

This is defiently a Halloween classic. Funny but with just the right type of comedy. Different style then any other movie. This is an oh so strange family. But it ties together perfectly. A bit of humour is what we need.Instead of being scared out of our wits!

Brilliant!

just my opinion,

don't believe me see for yourself

Beautiful dead- Phoenix

The last in the series and a good one too, guessable the ending but it ties everything off very well. The characters say strong and it doesn't seem too hurried. This was a love story with a twist and it ended on the verge of a happy ending. Thank you Darina for once a gain showing me that love can come in all different shapes and sizes.
A great read

It will happen - part 2

Here is the second installment of my book, there has been a lot of editing! Just so you remember it here it is from the start, Enjoy!

Paris, France
Chapter 1

Rose Grandjour’s cell

Rose Grandjour sat on the cold hard floor listening intently to voices, hard and soft speaking in rapid french. She stopped listening after awhile, she knew what was coming, her death sentence. She had fought against all she was accused of ,but her pleas and cries were landing on deaf ears. No one believed her.
You were allowed to send one note, hers was sent. Not to whom you might think. She had put all her hopes in a man she didn’t even know. With a possible wrong address but a certain name. Edward Daly.
A name that was her mothers last. A name her mother said would save her one day. She did not know which circumstances her mother meant but Rose needed something, not only something but a miracle.

Weeks passed without a word from Mr. Edward Daly nor an official death sentence for Rose. She feared the worst. They were going to kill her in the night and feign it as an accident of some sort. No, that was silly she had thought but she knew she was not far off. So Rose made a plan, determined that she would have a proper death if there was need for one. She planned to become nocturnal, to stay awake nights so such things would not happen.
Things around the jail became suspicious a few nights after that. Other occupants of the jail would just stare at her with pitiful eyes. So Rose put her plan into action. She slept through the day and without realizing it most of the night too. She woke at midnight, slightly disturbed by her failure.
‘ They could have come for me anytime after dark’ she had thought. But what surprised her most was that there was no guard by her door or by any door. Rose sat up off her bed and crept towards her barred gate. She peered through and listened. She did not know how long she sat there listening, waiting for something to happen. Then she heard it Bang, Bang, Bang. The sound of doors opening and closing from above her. The other prisoners didn’t move, they were all deep in slumber. Drugged? Then how did they miss her? Then just one last bang. Close now. Closer than before. Rose slunk slowly backwards into to the shadow. Ah so you are Mrs. Grandjour then. Rose was then startled to find that she was not alone in her cell.

Rose Grandjours not so empty cell

Rose was too speechless for words. Rose concentrated hard, closing her eyes she took a deep breath and then slowly turned. The man was no spirit or ghost he was real. Obviously not noticing Roses anxiety th man sat there staring at Rose clicking his tounge.. ‘Mr. Edward Daly?’ Rose struggled to pronounce such an English name. Although she was fluent in English it was sometimes hard to drop the French accent of her birth. The man did not answer. He then let an easy comment through his lips ‘What do you think of my plan?’ As it was an everyday thing to break it a highly secure prison. Rose stared blankly at the man. ‘ Oh please! Even a woman should know that this was a good plan to get you out of here’. His accent now playing on an American tone. Rose now coughed hoarsely taking in the foul stench of the prison. ‘ Who are you?’ The man now rolled his eyes, definitely American. ‘Can you at least give me some feedback on my plan’ His voice loud and now touched with an ever growing hint of annoyance. Was it wrong to ask questions a voice in her head asked. Rose then quickly stumbled to get words out of her mouth fast enough. ‘ I am sorry but I do not know who you are, I am weak from the voices in my head. I am sorry. Rose repeated again in a hoarse whisper.
‘ Then it is definitely time to get you out of here.’ He then strode to the other side of the cell where Rose was and grabbed her firmly by the arm opened the cell door and ran up the steps of the prison until he reached the once barricaded door to the outside world. Rose felt the cold breeze of the night air and in that moment she was glad of the mysterious man in her cell. She was undisturbed of his hidden identity and she felt a rush of warmth through her body. Warmth that could not be brought through a coat a warmth that was a sudden happiness. The warmth ended as soon as it had started as she was flung into a taxi cab with no idea of her further adventures.

an old horse drawn taxi

Rose was used to silence, so the silence that followed in the cab was not her biggest worry. Her eyes stayed straight and focused on the leather seat in front of her. To break the silence the man from the cell introduced the driver as Francis. A wave of shock passed over Roses face and it did not go unnoticed. ‘ What troubles you madamoiselle?’ The mans once American accent reverted to French. Rose surprised her self by her quick answer. ‘ You introduce your chauffeur and yet you do not introduce yourself.’ ‘All in good time madam, all in good time’.
Rose then pondered the man’s words and wondered about his changing accents. Time went quickly by and soon pink tinged the sky, it was dawn. Soon after the car stopped and she then recognised her surroundings. Another wave of shock passed over her face. ‘ You need to control your emotions madamoiselle. I see you recognize this place, you should. I believe you must retrieve something from here.’ Rose then knew what he meant, the envelope!

Chapter 2

Rose Grandjour was born in 1774 in Paris, France. She had a happy life learning many languages. She lived with her mother Elizabeth and her many husbands. When she turned 12, her sight had changed. She could hear what she imagined were spirits and she could see what she thought was the future. She was scared and she told no one. Until her mother found her crying in her bedroom frightened beyond all strength. She gave in and told her everything. Her mother held a brave face for a while but then she secretly asked for a doctors help. Rose held no grudge, her mother must have been frightened as well. Her mother later died after giving birth to a still born, who would have been her brother. On her death bed, she had handed Rose an envelope and told not to open it until in need. Her last words were Edward Daly and those were the words Rose would never forget. Rose was seized from the house hours later.

Paris, France, Rose Grandjour’s once happy home

Rose shuddered as the flashback ended. She then slowly stepped out of the taxi and looked at her old home. More memories flooded through her head but she stopped them, she did not need to remember. She had let her guard down and her hearing enhanced and she saw herself picking up the envelope which held unknown secrets. She strode to a halt at the old and now rotten door. It had only been a few years before that the house was in perfect condition but many searches had been underway searches for witchery items, none were found.
Rose was surprised that they had not found the envelope. When Rose had finally calmed herself she turned the handle, but of course it was locked. Rose gave the door one firm push and it gave way. She stepped over the remains of the door and shuffled in aware of footsteps behind her. After looking around her old home damaged and destroyed, she found a lump in her throat and it took all the strength she had left not to break down and burst out crying. She climbed the once grand staircase and went to to her mothers bedroom. She ignored the bed where her mother once lay and proceeded to the hidden shelf in the wall. It had been used to keep jewellery, but this is where she saw the envelope in her mind.

She retrieved it and looked at her mother’s hand writing written across the worn paper.. Rose let one tear drop. She dared to look around the room; her tears controlled once more. She took a deep shuddering breath and walked down the stairs hoping the envelope would give her some answers that she desperately needed . She clutched the envelope tightly to her chest and slowly walked down the stairs. She looked back at her once happy home and let one more tear spill. She looked at the cab and looked at the horses that pulled it. She said goodbye to her happiness and left.

The Station house

The Station house-
I enjoyed my visit to the station house. The food is delicious and there is always a good buzz there on a Saturday night. The staff are very kind and give you a laugh. The only thing I will say is that the service is very slow and that may be due to the fact that it is very busy. But waiting with it is okay but is you are hungry then it seems like a humongous stretch.

I enjoyed the food, the staff, the buzz but unfortunately not the service. If you are with a group of friends and none of you are that hungry it is the ideal place. The buzz makes it all.

Magazines a waste of money? example - Hannah Montana magazine

The Hannah Montana Magazine. Sounds great for the fanatics of Hannah doesn't it.
That fanatic used to be me. Then I found that the magazine is so short I read in just over 5 minutes. It is quite expensive for me in Ireland. I bought them for my collection but then I realised it was pointless.
Then I thought of all the other people like me that would do the same. I find these people just think about Money, Money, Money! I think these people are very mean and selfish. If you buy this magazine you are just fueling their selfishness. Same with any other magazine that you find does the same thing. The 11 year girl with an opinion.

Justin Bieber or my skin crawling?

I am sorry for anybody that likes Justin Bieber this is just my opinion.

When I think or see Justin Bieber my skin crawls and a have notion to scream at someone to turn it off. All the girls are in love with him but I think different. I think many things about him that has nothing to do with loving ,believe me. That is my opinion and I believe I am entitled to that opinion so here is half of what I think of him. Annoying, superficial, picked out of thousands because they thought he looked good, stuck up and once again Annoying. Did I mention not the best singer in the world. Thank you for entitling me to my opinion. Just remember that.
