Back to School is a given phrase that is dropped on children's ears from the moment they leave school it is about going back to it. It is a taunting message that plays in your head over and over. When the day finally comes you are prepared for it.
At the start every year you have a new teacher, a new classroom, new books and an empty brain.
The night before your parents check your school bag and uniforms and you pretend you don't care. When no one is looking you check it again. The first morning deja vu strikes and you walk through the school gates. It may be your first year it may be in between. Or for people my own age it may be your last in Primary. It is scary and it is still in the same sentence of mayhem.
But now it is time to face it with more perspective.
