Holes
I read this book last week I found it quite interesting.
It is an adventure story packed with strange flashbacks, sudden and peculiar twists and a good plot line. Louis Sachar portrays the life of an ordinary boy who's life was mysteriously turned upside down. The novel shows how one boy adapts into the strangest environment. How he makes friends and how he loses them. How he achieved so much, with such little hope. But most of all how he stood up for what he believed in.
It is overall an interesting novel. Although like all books it has a fault. The start of the book isn't interesting, but after that the excitement never ends. It was really action packed. I would recommend it for age groups 10 -14. You have to like adventure or you may think it is a boyish book.
